An electronic signature, or eSignature, is information in an electronic form, which is “associated with other data in electronic form and which is used by the signatory to sign” (eIDAS).

In simple terms, an electronic signature is the electronic, or digital, form of a handwritten, paper based method of signing signatures (also called a ‘wet signature’) on an electronic document, typically processed online. But beyond being just a squiggle on a screen, on an electronic document, they legally bind documents, just in the same way as paper documents do to signal acceptance and prove intent in relation to the terms of a document or contract by the signer.

eSignature software, like Signable, is the best way to capture electronic signatures on a document between two (or more) parties. Signable provide the technology to thousands of businesses to obtain electronic signatures from businesses and individuals, using a secure online, digital process for signing documents
